FirmGreen announces the launch of FirmGreen Labs, its Green Energy Research & Development facility in Kokomo, Indiana, a suburb of Indianapolis ? host city to Super Bowl XLVI. Kokomo, known as the ?City of Firsts? because of the large number of patents awarded its citizens over the last 100+ years, continues that history of innovation as home to FirmGreen?s first green technology R&D hub. The lab will integrate and monitor production from renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, and biogas, allowing FirmGreen to offer the most reliable and cost-effective package of innovative equipment and controls software to meet its customers’ energy needs.

FirmGreen Labs will employ scientists and engineers working in the fields of green energy production, unmanned intelligent controls, integration of various sources of green energy from multiple third party vendors, and the core competency behind Remote Intelligent Control: Real Time Artificial Intelligence. The Kokomo facility is expected to create a dozen new fulltime jobs, good news during the continued weakness in the U.S. labor market.

“We opened FirmGreen Labs in Kokomo because its history of innovation, highly educated work force, and location near the geographical center of the United States makes it ideal for our first Regional Command Center,” said FirmGreen CEO, Steve Wilburn. “Using its patented Verde Controls? technology, FirmGreen Labs can safely manage a diverse portfolio of Green Energy sites via secure internet channels, making FirmGreen?s Green Energy Centers more profitable for our customers AND for the planet!”

Pocahontas: A Poem

According to Wikipedia: “Pocahontas (c.1595 – March 21, 1617) was a Virginia Indian princess notable for having assisted colonial settlers at Jamestown in present-day Virginia. She was converted to Christianity and married the English settler John Rolfe. After they traveled to London, she became famous in the last year of her life. She was a daughter of Wahunsunacawh, better known as Chief or Emperor Powhatan (to indicate his primacy), who headed a network of tributary tribal nations in the Tidewater region of Virginia (called Tenakomakah by the Powhatan). These tribes made up what is known as the Powhatan Chiefdom and were part of the Algonquian language family.”
